Park Passport is built by Acorn & Ivy LLC ("we"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: your log stays on your device, and the only thing ever shared is what you choose to share through the optional Friends feature.
By default, none. Park Passport has no required account, no login, and no sign up. We do not ask for your name, email, location, or any personal information.
Everything you enter (your experiences, character meets, scores, photos, and notes) is stored only on your own device, inside the app. Your full log is never uploaded. We cannot see it.
If you turn on sharing in the Friends menu, the app creates an anonymous account and stores two things on our servers (hosted on Google Firebase in the United States): the display name you choose, your headline totals (counts of experiences, unique attractions, visit days, characters met, scores logged, and coaster credits), and the name and date of your most recent experience. Anyone you give your friend code to can see that information. Nothing else is uploaded: no other individual entries, no photos, and no notes. You can turn sharing off at any time with the "Stop sharing" button, which deletes your shared profile from our servers.
If you send a postcard from the Postcards tab, the photo you choose and your caption are stored on our servers and shown to people who have you as a friend. Postcards stay until you delete them, and deleting a postcard removes it from our servers. Only post photos you are comfortable sharing with your friends.
If you import a CSV file, it is read on your device only. If you export your data, the file is saved to your device only. Nothing is uploaded.
None. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. The only network connections it ever makes are the optional Friends syncs described above.
The app is suitable for all ages. The Friends feature shares only a self-chosen display name and stat totals, and is off by default.
Your log lives on your device: remove it by deleting entries in the app or deleting the app. If you enabled sharing, tap "Stop sharing" in the Friends menu to delete your shared profile, or email us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
